Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and a password (which is stored in hashed form — we never store your actual password).
Recipe Content
Recipes, stories, photos, and other content you submit to the platform are stored so your family can access and enjoy them.
Usage Data
We collect anonymous usage analytics to understand how people use the app and to improve the experience. This includes pages visited, features used, and general device information. We use PostHog for this purpose.
Push Notifications
If you opt in to push notifications, we store a device token to deliver notifications. You can disable this at any time through your device settings.
How We Use Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Your recipes and family content are private to your family group unless you explicitly share them via a public link. We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:
- Vercel — hosting and deployment
- Neon — database hosting (PostgreSQL)
- Stripe — payment processing (if applicable)
- PostHog — anonymous usage analytics
- Firebase — push notification delivery
- Resend — transactional email delivery
Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data. Passwords are hashed using bcrypt. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Our database is hosted on secure, managed infrastructure with encryption at rest.
Your Rights and Choices
- Access: You can view all your personal data through your profile and settings pages.
- Update: You can update your account information at any time through your settings.
- Delete: You may request deletion of your account and all associated data by contacting us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
- Export: You can request a copy of your data at any time.
Children's Privacy
Family Forever Recipes is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can promptly remove it.
